A generous family spread of home-cooked dishes

“It's Sunday 5pm. You have good intentions and an empty fridge.”

Every meal planner gives you the same 10 meals. None of them know what's in your fridge. None of them know that one of you is dairy-free, or that you rotate between three cuisines, or that you're trying to hit a protein target this month.

The Generous Table is an AI meal planner built differently. It plans around your pantry, your people, your cuisines, and your dietary needs — all at once, for families who actually care about what they eat.

How it works

01

Tell us how your family eats

Your cuisines, your goals, who's eating, and what's already in the pantry. Set up takes three minutes.

02

Get your AI-generated weekly meal plan

Tell us what you're craving this week — cuisines, special requests, a recipe you've been wanting to try. The Generous Table builds a full 7-day plan around your family's actual food, not a generic template.

03

Shop for exactly what's missing

A shopping list built from your plan and filtered against what you already have. Nothing duplicated. Nothing wasted.

The Founder

I built this because I lived the problem.

I'm Dee. I grew up in a home where food was never an afterthought — my parents were both doctors, long days, but somehow there was always something incredible on the table. Food was how we connected.

I married someone exactly like that. Our daughter is too — completely intentionally. She's never been a McDonald's kid. She wants to know what it is, where it's from, can she try the other version.

And yet every week, beautiful ingredients would die in my fridge. I'm a good cook. I just didn't want to do the thinking. I wanted to eat well, not waste what I'd bought, and still try something new. No app could hold all of that.

So I built The Generous Table. For the families who care deeply about what they eat — and just need something that can keep up with them.

Questions about The Generous Table

The Generous Table is an AI-powered meal planning app built specifically for families. Unlike generic meal planners, it plans around your pantry, your dietary needs, your cuisine preferences, and your weekly goals — all at once. You get a full 7-day plan, a filtered shopping list, and a dinner table that actually reflects how your family eats.

The Generous Table uses AI to combine variables that no spreadsheet or generic app can hold simultaneously — what's in your pantry, who's dairy-free, what cuisines you're rotating through this week, and what you're trying to achieve nutritionally. The result is a personalised weekly plan generated in seconds, not a template with your name on it.

Yes — this is exactly what it was built for. If one person is dairy-free, another is hitting a protein target, and a third just wants something new, The Generous Table holds all of that in a single plan. Dietary needs aren't treated as filters. They're built into the plan from the start.

That’s the foundation of how The Generous Table works. You tell it what’s in your pantry, and it builds your weekly plan around those ingredients first — reducing waste, cutting your shopping bill, and making sure nothing good dies in the back of the fridge.

Absolutely. You can rotate between cuisines within a single week — a few nights of South Asian cooking, a night of Japanese, something Mediterranean on the weekend. The Generous Table treats cuisine variety as a feature, not a problem to work around.

Yes. The Generous Table is an Australian-made app, built and launched from Melbourne. It launches on 28 July 2026 and is free to join the waitlist now at thegeneroustable.com.

Most meal planning apps give every family the same rotating list of 10 meals. The Generous Table starts from your family — your pantry, your people, your cuisines, your goals — and builds outward. It's the difference between a template and a plan that actually fits your life.

About three minutes. You tell The Generous Table your cuisines, dietary needs, who's eating, and what's in the pantry. From there it handles the weekly planning. You spend less time deciding what to cook and more time actually cooking it.

Be the first family in.
